Favorite Bible Passage:
I really like the account of Balaam the evil prophet who had to bless the Hebrews because he could only say what God would let him say. The king of Moab had asked Balaam to curse the Hebrews, but was disappointed at all the blessings that came from God. Balaam's explanation to the king of Moab was this, "God is not a man that he should lie, nor a son of man that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?"
I like to think about these verses in relation to all of the other promises that God makes in the Bible. You can trust God. He's not a man. He's much bigger than us and able to do much more than we could ever imagine.

Comments:
To the church staff of any gig we play: We realize that we have the easy job. We get to come in, have a good time with the kids, and open the Bible up in a new and different way. You have the hard job. You are left with the challenge of everyday discipleship. It is our desire to do more than just show the kids a good time. We want to make sure that we can hand-off new & rededicated Christians to you in a way that will assist you in your ongoing discipleship of that individual. In my opinion, sharing the gospel with someone and leaving them undiscipled is wrong. I think that is similar to delivering a newborn baby and tossing them into the snow. Please let us know if there is some way we can better our partnership with you. We want to serve you as well as the audience.
