Back to School Rally - Believer's Baptist - Emory, TX Wowee!!!! We absolutely love 'em like this! It is SUCH a blessing to be used by God and to have fun at the same time! This show totally rocked! The crowd really got into it and that always makes for a good show.

Unfortunately, Matt couldn't make the show, so we were kinda apprehensive... but God had a plan! A guy named God took over the sound and worked miracles through another guy named Mike. Thanks, Mike, for being His servant and vessel! You did an outstanding job!

By far the neatest thing about the show, though, was the testimonies from the local youth. Probably the most dynamic testimony we've ever heard was delivered by Thomas. He'd been through some extreme stuff - but God pulled him though it all! What an amazing witness of the power, might, and grace of God.

The Altarnative - Olney, TX What a blessing! God was in this event from the very beginning. What we thought would be a tight setup time turned into a breeze thanks to God's perfect timing. It took almost 4 hours to get to Olney (as in "all-nee") but we still had time to get setup, sound check, and pray before the show. It was just a complete blessing! It made it obvious that God was in our midst working out the details for us

The show really rocked and you guys could sing like nobody's business! Whew! What an AWESOME time of praise and worship we had! God inhabits our praise, so we know He was right there with us. Glen shared a powerful message that drove home the point that we're not promised one additional second on this Earth - so we better get right with God now. This point was not wasted on the crowd because a tragedy had just claimed the life of one teenager in the community just a few days before we arrived. The date of the show was changed several times and finally settled on this date... we think God arranged it so we could be in the area after the tragedy. It would be one way that good could come from a terrible tragedy if someone came to know Christ. While no decisions were made public at the show, we know that seeds were planted and that no one could leave there without knowing where they stood with Christ.

Luau - Lighthouse Gospel Church - Paris, TX Rain, rain go away... There was a high chance of more rain when we arrived to setup. The plan was to have this event outside - but God scared us indoors and it was 1000 times more cool! The church has an unfinished gymnasium facility that just worked great for a concert!

Out of This World opened up and got the crowd rocking. You guys jammed! Then a group came up for praise and worship from Lighthouse Gospel and set the stage for the speaker. Wow!!! What a message! Mr. Yoder challenged all of us to make this year different from last year. To start fresh and not allow the freshness to fade. There were about 5 people who made the public commitment to take their school for Him this year and not let this year be like last year... AMEN.

Next we got up and had the absolute time of our lives! It was so hot and humid, but God was inhabiting our praise, so it didn't matter. Matthew T. as normal made it thump it's absolute hardest... Thanks, Matt!!! The lights were awesome too, man! This was a great time of serving God and celebrating our salvation. Thanks, guys, for having us at your church.

Concert - The Upper Room, Farmersville, TX WHAT A COOL VENUE!!! And even better is big John's heart! PRAY for this ministry where God is obviously moving! Big John (the owner) told us he's had over 100 kids come to know Christ through his ministry in The Upper Room. And while we were there... 1 ASSURANCE OF SALVATION and 1 REDEDICATION!!!

This was one time where we can say God used us to minister without a doubt. Big John provided the system, lights, and location... we just showed up and begged God to use us. There was no other band or speaker... Just God, John, and us. The next thing we know... God is changing lives! Amazing. Absolutely amazing. There is nothing like seeing God move to humble your spirit. We know the decisions didn't have anything to do with us other than us choosing to be obedient and go where God wants us to go. God is moving in The Upper Room... we went there in order to be in the center of God's will... and God accomplished God-Sized things through us. Mr. Blackaby would be proud. But who cares? God's proud. That's the only thing that matters.

VBS Kickoff - EPBC - Paris, TX Well, we've never played to such a young age group, but it seems to have worked! 8 SOULS SAVED!!! Whew!!! Bro. Tony Pangle has been working with the kids at EPBC for 4 years and the won souls are the result of his work without a doubt. We were just lucky enough to be there when it happened. Thank you, Tony, for allowing us to be part of your ministry serving only Him.

Shady Grove Baptist Church - Emory, TX WHAT A BLESSING! Wow... this church treated us like royalty. Thank you so much for your hospitality. It was hot and miserable, but the sweet Mrs. Jan fixed us up with an awesome meal (complete with D13 cupcakes) which really made it nice. When we first setup, it was obvious that satan didn't want us to have an easy setup... The system was making an awful buzz from a really bad ground loop problem... but thank God, He showed us the way to make it work and SHAZAAM we had AWESOME sound!!! Special thanks to Steve C. for helping us setup and run the system. Steve... you are the man! Thanks to Matthew T. for his faithful service and sacrifice... driving all the way out there after work to run sound for the gig...

The set went just perfectly. We rocked and then we shared a simple message about hell. I gotta admit, we stole some of the message from Bro. Tony Pangle from our church (EPBC)... When a message is good, it's good! We didn't see anyone saved this time, but we know seeds were planted. There is no way anyone got out of there without knowing the destination of their soul - one way or another.

Summer Kickoff Concert - Paris, TX COOL!!! Wow... where do we start? This was yet another fine example of God stepping in and proving His omnipotence. We believed God wanted us to do this free concert in the middle of a parking lot in order to reach kids cruising around. Things really fell together in miraculous ways, so we were continually reminded that God was crafting the event. Permissions were given, equipment secured, financial support provided... it is REALLY amazing to stand back and know that God is moving in something. He definitely moved here.

We started setting up early and thought we had everything figured out and planned for... Two stages, two subwoofer systems, generator, tent for the sound board and merchandise, help setting up... we thought it would go really smoothly. Well, God had other plans. We wanted to have music going almost all afternoon, but the generator kept tripping with only the sound system on it. It got to be 5:00 and we still didn't have a reliable power source... We were starving and up against a time constraint it didn't look like we'd ever be able to make. Then CiCi's pizza shows up out of the blue with several pizzas - they just gave 'em to us without us asking or even telling them we were there! Then as if directed by God himself, a man shows up and asks if we need a generator! Now tell me that's not God working! So he goes and gets his generator, we hook it up, and everything is fine. The awesome Mr. Vandeaver who provided lights and a trailer also brought a generator later... When it was all said and done, we had three working generators all testimony of God's awesomeness.

So we finally start playing... There was a nice crowd around waiting for us to start. Thank you guys for showing up... you made a difference that night without a doubt! We got to "It isn't love" - one of the main songs we wanted to hit hard with the crowd - and the sound system went dead! We tripped a circuit breaker on a power strip. Satan really didn't want that song getting out that night. We fixed it, picked up the song, and it tripped again! Finally Mr. Vandeaver and the guy that volunteered the first generator bypassed the problem and all was okay for the remainder of the night. We stopped several times during the show and made it clear why we were there putting on a free concert. Anyone listening knew exactly what we were about.

So we finished our set and a few minutes later, Rain on the Land took the stage. They stinkin' ROCKED! Oh wow, they blew my mind with some of the stuff they did! It was so good to play and fellowship with these guys again. Their hearts are so pure... it's really refreshing to see that nowadays. We wrapped everything up at about 10:55 which was perfect because that's when the security guys were told to shut us down... (city ordinance or something...) Just more testimony that God had His hand on it... We could've easily run out of time and not been able to finish the show. But God timed everything perfectly - thank You, God!

A few necessary thanks...
God - for planting the idea in our hearts and making it all happen
Project SAVE - for financing the entire concert and providing setup volunteers. Praise God for you guys.
Greg Cunningham - Cunningham Equipment - for taking pictures and providing one of the trailers for the stage.
Jody Vandeaver - for lights, a trailer, promotion, a generator, and an awesome servant attitude.
"The generator guy" - for following the nudge God gave you to offer your generator.
CiCi's Pizza - for feeding our flesh when we didn't have time to take care of it ourselves.
Jan Bell - for pictures and for keeping your husband in line.
Mike Thompson - for taking pictures and finally showing up for one of our gigs!
Tara Putnam - for sacrificing an entire day and making it fun for the kids.
Matthew Townsdin - for running sound for us on a day he coulda been cruising himself.

We didn't get to see any immediate fruits of our labor, but we know without a doubt that God had a reason for us being there. We know we presented the gospel to a lot of unsuspecting people that night - now we just can't wait to get to heaven and find out how God REALLY used us June 15, 2002.

Covenant Christian Church - Paris, TX COOL!!! Our first outdoor gig with the new subwoofer system! It thumped! This gig rocked and the word was heard. We were preaching to the choir, so there weren't any decisions but that's okay. We were there for a time of fellowship and it rocked! Thank you guys for inviting us out. We had a blast lifting up His name and celebrating His glory. We can't wait until next time!

Radio Interview - KOYN. WOW, man! One full hour of airtime! Thanks, man! We played two songs live in the studio and everyone listening said it sounded great! That had to have been God directing things! They played all the songs from the CD including "Let it Go"!!! That blew our minds, but we were sure glad of it!!!

First United Methodist - Paris, TX Oh WOW!! Just when we thought it couldn't get any better, God makes it rock all the more. We hit this show with more gear that made the show more exciting - that's what we were hoping for... A fog machine and effect lighting really make a lot of difference! God is blessing us with equipment so that His work can be done. And it is being done.

Tonight, the crowd totally rocked to an awesome sounding set and then lifted the roof off of the place to God in praise and worship. You guys are AWESOME! Yet another group that knows all the songs... That's great! But then, we got serious and talked about heaven and hell. Without Jesus washing away your sins, you're on a one-way path to hell. It's just that simple guys.

So click on the button that says "Got Jesus" to the left and you'll be on your way to understanding what it takes to sidestep hell and go to heaven. It's a free gift - all ya gotta do is take it.

First Baptist - New Boston, TX GOD'S BEST GIG USING US EVER!!! Dude! This totally rocked!!! You guys were totally amazing. Thank you for lifting up His name like that! You were completely with it during the praise and worship set! You were so loud, we could hear you on stage over the PA system. That's a first! We just can't thank you guys enough for having us. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

Dave, Greg, Matthew, and Glen cruised over early to begin the setup. By 7:00, we were jamming and doing the sound check. Everything was smooth. God was with it all. We took off with Rick (the youth minister and old friend) for a bite to eat... then it was back to the church to do the show.

We took the stage at 10:00 and kicked it off with a jamming song. You guys took it from there and just kept pumping up the energy level. As usual, we made sure the gospel was presented - this time through a moving testimony from Dave. While no decisions were made on this night, we know seeds were planted. God, take those seeds and make them grow. We're just happy to be a small part of His work.

A special thank you to Matthew who puts up with us when we're picky about minor issues, who makes us sound good even though we shouldn't, who continually gives of his time, talents, and energy, and who learned and totally rocked the new light system in record time. Matt... YOU TH' MAN!

Southside Baptist - Paris, TX SWEET!!! Oh what a blast! Setup and sound check went great! Thank You, God, for a very smooth day. Glen and Greg set everything up by themselves so that we'd have ample time to dial in... Thanks, guys! Dave arrived about 5:00 and we were off! Matthew T. even arrived a little earlier than thought. It was great.

Well, we played and witnessed to the people... There were no decisions this night that we were aware of, but we know God can and will take our obedience and use it to His glory. It is our prayer that a seed was planted which will grow in a soul until it can no longer be denied and must be acknowledged. Then, we pray, that the soul would be forever changed by accepting Christ as their Lord and Savior.

Tear-down was smooth... We went to Braum's afterward for a little bite to eat... then it was off to our homes, to get rested up for this weekend. Wow, we can't wait. We're already praying about it and ask that you join us. We're expecting souls to be saved this Friday night!

Disciple Now - Maxey Baptist Church - Maxey, TX. DUDE! The strangest thing happened to us on the way to this gig! (Sounds like the beginning of a really good joke, huh?) Seriously, we were pulling the trailer and came to an intersection. We made a turn and then there was this guy in a car waving, smiling, and flashing one of our CDs at us! That totally made our day and got us ready for the gig that night. Thanks, fella, for that awesome encouragement. You are the man!

Well, it was an all-around good gig. The Davester had a prior engagement, so there was only the three of us, but God made it rock anyway. It was our first gig with a new lighting system, so that distracted us a little, but we could tell it is going to serve its purpose - making shows more interesting so we can eventually reach more souls. So here's how it went: The youth minister played an absolutely awesome video about one of the lives taken in the church shooting at Wedgewood Baptist in Ft. Worth a few years ago. It was all about a woman who truly believed she was only on Earth temporarily and her true home is heaven. We had planned on kicking off praise and worship with a fast song (Every move I make) but it just didn't fit after that video, so we did four or five slower songs. Then our true Bud, our one and only, the pressing "on"est fella God ever invented, Bro. Tony Pangle delivered a moving message to the crowd about standing for what's' right. We then did a thirty minute set or so of upbeat songs. It was cool. The kids lifted it up, and God filled the house. It ain't get no betta!

First Assembly of God, Sulphur Springs, TX God is the man! He was there from the start to the finish! Super Dave was unable to attend which wasn't known until the day of the gig... But we didn't panic. We've learned this lesson. When we found out for sure Dave wouldn't be there, we started anxiously anticipating what God had planned for the night. Glen, Greg, and Mat setup the system early. I got there as soon as I could after work. It was an awesome setup (Mat did a great job of cleaning the 60 Hz buzz out of the system and everything else) so the sound was perfect. The guys also setup a great merchandise table which the awesome Mrs. Jan graciously ran before and after the show. We ran through the set without Dave and found we really only needed to cut one song from the set (Long way home) Everything else we did and it actually sounded good!

So we played and worshipped and the kids were awesome! You guys stayed with the program the whole way through! Thanks! You guys were awesome! You jammed right along with us, bought lots of merchandise, and praised God's name like nobody's business. The crowd form Paris was impressive in number. Thanks for driving all that way for us! This was a great gig and we give God all the praise! Thank You, God, for blessing us with your presence this night!

Youth Rally - First Baptist Church - Detroit, TX. 1 SOUL SAVED and 5 REDEDICATIONS!(That we know of) OH WOW! God totally rocked this gig! Lights, sound, and 200+ kids!!!! It just doesn't get any better. God, thank You for allowing us to be part of something soooo awesome!

This gig was smooth from top to bottom until we started playing... it was our fist show of the new year and we were a little rusty, but God was able to take our small basket of fish and feed multitudes with it! This is just another fine example of the importance of being available for God to use - not able to do anything of our own strength. Jody( FBC-Detroit's Youth Minister) really put a lot of work into this and it showed. He provided lights and organized the entire event - inviting several churches to attend. He even provided pizza for the entire crowd and delivered a powerful message for the kids to hear. Long story short - man, he's building up treasures in heaven for your work - thanks for allowing us to be part of this one with you, Jody.
