Extreme Thursday - Civic Center -
Paris, TX 3 SOULS SAVED and 1 REDEDICATION!!!
What a blessing to be a part of God's work like this. This event was very well planned and executed. A big thank you goes out to all the people who worked so hard to make this happen. You were all truly used of God.
Well, we setup and didn't really get much of a sound check, but that's okay. We gave it to God and totally let Him have it. I think we've finally learned that lesson from God. Daniel and his band from Bogota kicked it off and absolutely blew me away. Wow, ya'll sound good! We were in the back praying and I couldn't help but hear the awesome harmonies and bass lines. Whew!
Next, we played and had a lot of fun with the kids up front. We tried really hard to engage the crowd and get them involved. It was a blast. Unfortunately, we couldn't hear very well and lost our confidence as a result. We played hard, however, and trusted that God would have His way with our offering. And did He ever!
So next Sean Mitchell and his band took the stage and they sounded awesome. I loved watching them lift of the name of God. It was so cool and their spirit really shone through it all. Then the speaker (Mark Jobe) took the stage and just nailed it all down. I was simply entranced by his delivery of God's word. It was a masterful delivery to a group of youth... short and to the point. And God blessed it. 3 new souls and 1 rededication! Sometimes, it's all worth it.
Things remembered: Dropping a subwoofer during teardown, working with Ken Mitchell (the producer and awesome man of God), working with all the volunteers, playing through a confidence-busting set, pictures after our set, and watching the harvest come in.

Pre See You at the Pole Kickoff - EPBC -
Paris, TX
We did this gig at the request of Greg...
He's desperate to start something for the
youth of his church. They've got a great
facility as you can see in the pics. Greg's
hoping to use it as a place to have Sunday
night services tailored to youth. I think
it rocks! So anyway... we played this gig
as a kickoff for the SYATP thang this year.
It was a really good gig.
The sound was absolutely perfect. It was
one of those gigs we just couldn't mess up.
God must've wanted it to sound great. A big
thank you to Randall Hayes for running sound
and lights for us. Jarrin couldn't get a
weekend pass from ETBU even though he wanted
to be there. Thanks, Randall!
So we prayed and played and Greg spoke with
the intent of motivating the kids. I thought
it was awesome! We weren't expecting anyone
to get saved tonight, but we gave 'em the
chance anyway! There were no decisions, but
that's okay. We were preaching to the choir.
Things remembered: I gotta get an XBox, At
taking pictures, seeing old friends, and
pumping up some kids for SYATP!

Youth Fest - Ector, TX 1 SOUL SAVED!!!
SWEET! What a well-thought out event! This
was an all day event in a field in Ector,
TX. Who'd a thunk it? Lemme tell ya, they
did it right! They had volleyball, jumping
things (you know - the big giant blow up
things), horseshoes, live bands, a speaker,
paintball, and FOOD! What more could you
ask for? i just can't say enough about it.
This is the second year these guys have done
this and we were blessed to be a part of
it this year. And best of all - at least
one life was changed forever as a result!
We arrived early just after Axiom finished
their set. Kevin had a conflict and couldn't
make the gig, so Glen agreed to fill in.
That was a huge blessing. Keanan and I were
the only ones available for setup. Greg had
bread biness to handle... Jarrin was set
to arrive just before the show with a few
friends. So we setup and got ready to rock.
The weather and everything couldn't have
been better. It was sunny and warm, but not
hot.
We played and watched jets go overhead as
we did so. It was a complete blast. It was
just one of those good gigs where everything
seemed to go right. God was there. The sun
set and we continued to play. The lights
started kicking in and then we got to the
praise and worship set. It was so stinkin'
awesome! we broke for the speaking and a
powerful speaker took the stage. A few minutes
later, several kids were in counseling. Oh
yeah! At least one of them got saved... maybe
two.
So it was a lot of hard work, but very well
worth it all. Thank you, God for these people
and their willingness to serve. And thank
you, God, for letting us be part of Your
work once again.
Things remembered: The biblical significance
of washing sandled feet, the giving spirit
of the organizers, muscle machines in every
room of that house, and having church in
the middle of a field at night!

Living God Ministries Concert - Hughes Springs,
TX
A sweet reunion with Living God Ministries.
We love you guys! This was our first gig
with them this year - our schedules didn't
allow us to do the typical back to school
gigs with you guys... but this one was a
great replacement!
So we got there early and under sunny skies...
a few minutes after unloading, the wind picked
up and it looked like a tornado was gonna
take the roof off the place! Wind did damage
the roof of the building. While we setup,
the roof started leaking in the sanctuary...
but miraculously not on any equipment.
Living God Ministries kicked it off with
an awesome praise and worship set. Man! You
guys get better every year! Then they had
a pretty cool skit arranged to demonstrate
how we can get caught up in the work of spreading
God's word and not listen to His Spirit directing
us. It was way cool! Then my brotha Aggie
took front and center and broke it down for
the peeps. That was powerful, dude! Gig 'em!
So we took the stage and rocked out the show.
It was a blast! With Jarrin on sound, there
were no technical difficulties. God moved
in the whole event. We didn't find out about
any decisions tonight, but we know seeds
were planted. We did what we came to do...
draw kids to an event, show them that Christians
have a ton of fun, and feed them some of
the Word.
Things remembered: Sheep in the baptistry,
sideways rain from a sunny sky, an Aggie
preacher boy, a leaking roof, seeing the
pastor wrestle with a member of the youth
group (I still think you won, dude), and
seeing our beloved friends in Living God
Ministries again.

Youth Rally - RRV Bible Camp - Paris, TX
1 SOUL SAVED!!!
What an awesome deal!
A couple got together and decided events
such as this need to be hosted regularly
in Paris. They secured the venue, the groups,
food, and games... and the rest is blessed
history!
We originally thought we'd use the sound
system in the camp, but several hours of
tweaking later... we finally ended up setting
our own system up. That turned out to be
the right solution. It was a lot of work,
but God blessed our efforts. The organizers
were a super sweet couple who are engaged
to be married soon. We wish you all the best!
There were four performers for the night.
It was a lock-in, so four weren't too many.
First, we played and rocked the place out
a lot. It was a blast and the kids really
knew how to lift it up. Then Kirk's son delivered
an awesome message. He's just a kid, but
his message was awesome. Later, Kirk and
a girl from their church sang some songs
while Mickey was drawing chalk art. On the
last song, Mickey changed the lighting back
and forth to accentuate different parts of
the picture. The the show stopper - he turned
the black light on and revealed what was
really in the picture. It was AWESOME! I'm
talking goosebumps all over AND shivers!
I knew what to expect and it was still a
powerful media. I wish I hadn't forgotten
the camera.
One kid was witnessed to tonight and saved.
It was a miracle of God without a doubt.
After all, we cannot come to Him. Instead,
He calls us.
Things remembered: Two nights of setup, the
pure hearts of the organizers, a little man
with a big message, and goosebumps from chalk
art.

Old Movie Theater - Honey Grove, TX
Axiom... you guys rock! It was a pleasure
to play with you guys again.
Another good night in Honey Grove. It is
always a pleasure to rock out with you guys.
We prayed, we played, and waited for God
to move.
There were no decisions tonight, but we know
seeds were planted. We never play a show
without sharing God.
Thank you guys for having us and thank you
for hosting events for kids in Honey Grove.
Call us anytime!

Old Movie Theater - Honey Grove, TX
No matter what anybody tells you... Honey
Grove Rocks! - at least the people do!
God is the man! Everything came off smoothly.
Setup and soundcheck were stress free. We
were a little worried up front that the attendance
might be low. It seems no matter how hard
we try not to focus on numbers, it affects
us anyway. So behind stage, we all prayed
that God's will would be done and that we
would be taken totally out of it - including
any defeatist attitudes we might have.
When we came out, we were greeted by a stoked
group of people! This show was a real blessing.
Everyone seemed to have a great time. When
praise and worship time came, the kids really
lifted it up. It was a beautiful sound. if
God ever inhabited praise - it was here.
Then the Keanameister delivered a moving
testimony and message of the need to live
as "real Christians"... which seemed
to really do a lot to disciple those present.
During the invitation time, several came
forward to understand more about taking their
faith to the next level.
Big "thank yous" go out to Glen
and Jarrin. Glen supported the ministry by
booking the gig and by being there to run
lights and help with sound. God bless you,
man! Jarrin worked the board over and helped
with tear down. You guys are building mansions
in heaven.
Things remembered: Playing in a way cool
theater, a Mexican wedding nearby, signing
skateboards, you guys wanting us to sign
pictures of us they printed off the website,
praying behind the stage, changing in the
projector room, and the sound of praise lifted
up by the kids at Honey Grove.

Fine Arts Sanctuary - Blue Ridge, TX
God is such an amazing God! This was our
first show with Kevin on board. It was a
perfect gig. The setup was smooth and the
sound was great... we simply couldn't have
asked for more. I guess it probably ended
up great because it started out right. Glen
went out of his way to come pray with us
before we left town. That was sooo cool of
you, Glen. And then he came to the show with
his family. THAT was a real treat for us!
Thanks for being there, Glen!
The coordinator of this show has one of the
coolest hearts we've ever encountered. It
is just awesome to be around people with
vision like that. Long story short, this
guy and his family are trying to do something
for the youth of the community. They dedicate
their time and money to that end. This was
the first show like this they attempted and
they really did their legwork. We want you
to know we appreciate all you did to get
the word out about the show. You did your
part for certain. You blessed us in many,
many ways. Thank you so much for having us.
So we came, we played, we spoke the word,
and we left with a cup running over. There
were no decisions made tonight... but that's
okay. If nothing else, this show was about
kicking the season off focusing on obedience
to God in all His wonder. This show was an
absolute blast for us and a lot of people
said it sounded great. If that's so - God
chose to work a miracle through us and the
sound system. Thank you for giving us this
refresher course, God.
Things remembered: A full house, a flush,
a Tex-mex omelet (which did NOT have the
impact you guys predicted and is still exactly
where I left it), feeling God inhabit His
praise, witnessing the pure heart of Christians
trying to do God's will, and an awesome time
of worship in the center of God's will.

True Love Waits Rally - Trinity Baptist -
Valiant, OK
This was our last show with Glen as drummer
and it was a perfect example of ending on
a high note. 19 kids took the True Love Waits
commitment - determining to remain pure and
to save themselves for their wedding night.
This is a great program that more churches
need to adopt.
The show went really smoothly considering
it was the first time we'd setup after the
off season. God was really with us and it
showed. Glen played a truly inspiring set
that made it very difficult to realize it
was our last show together. The church that
hosted the event really did a great job of
promoting the event and even more - they
showed their love for kids. It was amazing
to see the turnout of adults to support this
event. They supported it with their service,
their smiles, their acceptance, and their
obvious agape love. This is what a church
is supposed to be like - all members working
together in unity.
Things remembered: Cookies covering every
available surface in the fellowship hall
as far as the eye can see, playing for a
pumped-up crowd, and the Godly hearts of
the people in Valiant, OK. It was amazing.
